love scandi style

Denmark based Ferm Living put out this very lovely newspaper version of a catalogue.  I recently saw their spring/summer 2010 range at Life InStyle.  It has all the Scandinavian design attributes that I love and it hangs together around a science laboratory theme of atoms, molecules and periodic tables. These are the elements (pun intended) I liked best.

Chunky knit poufs in four colours - these are the atoms, the matter, the stuff around us.  They come in sizes small, medium and large.  Only problem is one would certainly not be enough.  Atoms need to group together don't they?

These decorative molecule building kits tick 2 boxes for me - they are an educational tool for the children, therefore a justifiable expense (!) but they double as a fabulous side table attraction and pack away into a tidy box when you are tired of playing.

Guilty, another branch/tree/log inspired product again - can't help it, this stuff always pulls me in.  these vessels can be bowls or vases.  The porcelain cup inside is removable.  They look beautiful on a window sill or mantle piece.

and last but not least bring the outside inside with a woodland wall sticker, a statement at 2.2m high.
