The very clever Cate Boots & Alex Muir from Rose St Trading Co in Melbourne's Armadale have just opened the doors to their new store in light and spacious premises around the corner from their original abode! Nestled in the small village precinct is exactly where the girls wanted to remain so when a larger space became available they leapt at the opportunity. The smaller shop front in Rose Street is still in the family and will showcase a range of must have 'things' for the 5 - 15 year olds in your life!

This is FatBirdFarm, a gorgeous new range of items for the home by Nicola Stairmand of the Yarra Valley. We cannot confirm a date just yet but rest assured, you will definately see FatBirdFarm at Magnolia Square some time in 2008. We can't wait!

Inspired by all the little fat birds who have made their homes in her Yarra Valley garden, Nicola, an interiror designer and heritage conservation consultant, designs and makes a range of items including gift cards, little bags, tea towels, aprons, table runners, and cushions.

They combine her original illustrations with vintage wallpapers and fabrics, trims, buttons and stitching. Everything is hand printed, hand sewn and hand embroidered, so no two items are exactly alike. Belle and Boo is one of our favourite shops on etsy! Choosing just one thing out of their divine range was very difficult but we settled on this gift card with 4 button badges, one for each season. These images are taken from a series of illustrations called "My favourite spot".

We are in the thick of preparations at the moment for our next fair. Magnolia Square is going to Melbourne's Bayside and the venue is the Brighton Town Hall. Just over 40 retailers will be showing their best and as with every fair we make a big effort to bring you exciting new retailers.

We recently had our scouts in the Yarra Valley and look what we found! These divine little pre walkers are by sister team Evielala. They will have their debut showing at MS Brighton - March 13, 14 & 15. See full details of trading times and venue location.
