and the winner is...

Magnolia Square has always been a visual feast of glorious colour and sublime textures. This fair however, the standard was raised even higher with the introduction of visual merchandising awards.

Angela Gualtieri, editor and creative director of Living Creatively graciously offered to judge the event. Although she found it to be a difficult job, the winner was chosen to be Fat Bird Farm.

Nicola Stairmand from Fat Bird Farm is inspired by the hundreds of little fat birds living around her house in the Yarra Valley. She uses original illustrations with vintage wallpapers and trims to design and make a range of items including gift cards, little bags, tea towels, aprons, table runners, and cushions.

Close behind were retailers Morgan Wills in second place and Flora and Ceres in third. Well done to all retailers and our thanks to Angela for her judging prowess.
